We are happy to introduce our brand new Pizza in the Piazza Chef, Andrea Powell! Every last Sunday of the month, we host a delicious event called Pizza in the Piazza in our courtyard here in Sonoma – and now we have the pleasure of serving Andrea’s artisanal handcrafted pizza. Andrea works in a few different kitchens around Sonoma as a caterer, private chef, and creator of top notch menus for formal dinner parties. Just to give you an idea of how wonderful they are, here’s a description of her first two masterpieces:
Vegetarian: Spinach, Ricotta, Meyer lemon zest, Fresh Herb and Garlic Confit Pizza garnished with local mustard flowers and Limonato Olive Oil

Chef Andrea Powell is a California native that grew up in the beach community of Malibu. One of her earliest jobs was working for a high profile caterer, which cemented her passion for cooking. Her natural talents garnered her own following and soon she was working with her own clients, catering dynamic small parties. After briefly working in the music industry she decided to follow her heart and completed an intense study program at New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. She then worked at top restaurants in Hawaii, Los Angeles and San Francisco, continuing her education into the fine art of butchering meat and fish, making stocks and sauces, creating menus and leadership in the commercial kitchen.
During the last several years she has built a personal chef and catering business and maintained a list of loyal clients that include celebrities and well-known families. She has been preparing top-notch food in private homes as well as organizing cocktail parties, formal dinners, backyard parties and corporate events, with an emphasis on providing excellent and personalized service.
