2015 started off on the right foot this month when The Olive Press was honored as a winner in the oil category at the Good Food Award Ceremony in San Francisco. Sevillano Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a historically highly awarded, coveted and small-batch oil of The Olive Press took the show.
“Olive oil, as well as edible oils in California, are all part of a young industry in this state,” owner, Nancy Cline, spoke for the oil category, explaining, “We are all in the education business these days, trying hard to undo years of misinformation on what we thought was real olive oil.”
The Good Food Awards boasts small, artisanal producers with high quality products. Entering involves a lengthy qualification process depending on ingredients, sourcing and process. The Olive Press is honored to have been apart of it and take home an award!
The Olive Press has earned a total of 306 awards including this new one during their reign as the most highly awarded olive oil producer in the nation and is excited about the upcoming 2015 awards season.
