If you’ve never seen olives being made into olive oil, you’ve been missing out on one of the most aromatic, delicious, and inspiring experiences! Worry not, now is your chance to see fist-hand how olives are transformed from ripe, colorful fruits into smooth, robust, world-acclaimed fresh oils.
As we’re right in the middle of milling season, we’ve got our doors open for tours and tastings, and we’d love you to come by and see what it’s all about. Give us a call at our Sonoma location to make sure we’re milling on the day you are stopping by, and we’ll be sure to give you the viewing and tasting of your life. Stop by soon, and taste our Olio Nuovo, “New Oil”, while supplies last—it’s our first pressing of the season, and it’s as pure and delectable as an olive oil can get. It just doesn’t get any fresher!
If you’d like to learn even more, give us a call to arrange a tour. For groups of 10 or larger, and at only $5 a person, we’ll take you on a tour of our milling facility and show you the process by which olives become olive oil. You’ll see up close and personal the process and learn all about the journey--from harvest, to the crushing of the olives, to the delicious end when glorious liquid gold flows from the spout! It’s a treat for any lover of olives and olive oil.
And once you get to the tasting bar, take advantage of our highly seasoned “mixologists,” who’ll be pouring samples of our oils and vinegars for your enjoyment. They will walk you through the entire tasting process, giving you the information and inspiration to mix your own olive oil creations up back at home.
Milling season is our favorite time of year, as it’s our chance to create the freshest extra virgin olive oil produced in California—and it’s your chance to stop by and be a part of the process. Hope to see you there!
