Results are in from the San Joaquin Valley Olive Oil Competition! The competition took place at The Big Fresno Fair on March 8th in Pleasanton, California. A total of 61 entries from 18 different olive oil producers across California were received. There were two classes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Flavored Olive Oil, with nine subcategories in total. The entries were judged by a panel comprised of seven judges from the California Olive Oil Council. The Olive Press was awarded Best of Show for their Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil, in addition to four Gold Medals and six Silver Medals.
