The Olive Press is so delighted to announce they have been selected as one of the 176 winners of the 2016 Good Food Awards. With 1,937 entrants in 13 categories, The Olive Press won for their beautiful, small-batch Sevillano Extra Virgin Olive Oil!
The Good Food Awards is known for its involvement with artisanal producers, who create high quality products. The 263 companies that participated created vibrant, delicious, sustainable local food, with standards of environmentally sound agriculture practices, transparency and responsible relationships throughout the supply chain.
The winners were announced Friday, January 15, 2016 at a Gala Awards Ceremony at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture in San Francisco, Ca. A reception followed where Slow Food Founder Carlo Petrini, traveled from Italy to deliver the opening remarks.
The Olive Press is honored to have been named a winner in this fantastic competition, especially two years in a row! The Olive Press was also a winner in the 2015 Good Food Awards for their Sevillano!
Sevillano Extra Virgin Olive Oil is delicate in nature which means it is great for baking, cooking with fish, and finishing! This oil is very buttery with subtle notes of grass. Sevillano is harvested early and is limited edition as it is one of our smallest yielding fruits. Please enjoy!
