Cream Cheese Stuffed Blood Orange French Toast With Peach Compote

Ingredients


2 tbsp Peach Balsamic

1/4 cup Blood Orange Olive Oil

6 eggs

1 cup of milk

1/4 cup of water

10-12 slices of bread

8oz of whipped cream cheese

5 tbsp sugar

1 peach, skinned, pitted, and chopped

Preparation


STEP 1
Whisk milk and eggs together.

STEP 2
Mix cream cheese, 2 tbsp sugar and 2 tsp Blood Orange Olive Oil.

STEP 3
On each slice of bread, spread cream cheese mixture on one side, sandwich two slices together.

STEP 4
Pour Blood Orange Olive Oil into a skillet over medium heat.

STEP 5
Dip the sandwiches into the egg mixture, coating each side.

STEP 6
Place coated sandwich in skillet, cook and flip until both sides are golden brown.

STEP 7
In a small saucepan, combine peaches, water and 3 tbsp sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

STEP 8
When the peaches begin to soften and break down, add Peach Balsamic and cook for another 5-10minutes.

STEP 9
Drizzle peach compote over cooked french toast.

STEP 10
Serve warm and enjoy!
